Enjoyed your Riversway/ docklands site.
Gorgeous day yesterday (10 Jan 2020) and the dock looked great with St Walburge’s, St Marks and even PNE all clearly visible. I have no website. Feel free to use it if you wish with credit to Steve Harrison.
I worked for Geest ( banana importers) in the summer of 1966 as a 16 year old schoolboy. My uncle worked shunting engines on the dock railway.

I believe my Great Grandfather worked as a labourer building the dock at Preston. In 1891 he had a son while living at Penwortham as a labourer. He came from, and with a slight detour, returned to Lincolnshire. Any idea of recruitment or working conditions or any information about such labourers? Thanks anyway.
