Welcome to Riversway!
Preston Docklands is a popular place for business,
leisure,
entertainment and shopping. It was once Europe's largest single dock basin.
The new £4.5 million Ribble Link is the first canal to be
built
for 100 years and connects the dock to the Lancaster Canal and the
national waterways network.
Reasons to visit
Take a walk round the dock basin, or watch a film at the Odeon cinema. Have a drink or meal in
one of Riversway's two pubs, The Ribble Pilot or The Waterfront. Or Chiquito's is a Mexican bar and restaurant just next door to the cinema.
The Riversway Festival is held annually, and the event this year is planned for Friday 23rd July to Sunday 25th July 2010. The
festival offers fun for all the family, including dragon-boat racing, Freestyle Jet Ski Display, International Food area and a fireworks
finale. There's lots of entertainment for the kids, including competitions, paint-balling and wall-climbing.
